Product detail / Round sensing geometry
Round FSR Flexible Pressure Sensor
Define the sensing area and tail route from a contact point
Start with the local contact position, then review the circular sensing area, film outline and tail termination. Actual long-tail and short-tail samples help compare the available mounting space.
Actual sample photos show shape and connections. The structure is reviewed for your project.
From structure to application
Understanding this sensing structure
A round force sensing resistor (FSR) can provide input for local contact and relative force change. Selecting a round structure requires review of the contact-face shape, load position, rear support and tail space together. Baoshengda can discuss circular sensing areas, film geometry and terminations from your drawing, followed by prototype validation in the actual assembly. Long and short tails in the photographs are geometry references; specifications require project review.
Application review / Start with actual contact
Which application requirements should we review?
Application requirements guide placement, assembly and validation. The examples below support a design review; suitability depends on your product structure.
Local contact and press positions
When force is concentrated at a local contact position, assess how a circular area matches the contacting part. Define its shape, off-center loading, assembly preload and the state to detect. A sensing film alone is not a complete button or control system.
Review local-contact selection conditionsSensor placement in seats and cushions
Seating is an established Baoshengda application direction. Suitability of a round structure at a given position depends on the cover, foam and support. Multiple positions also require separate agreement on placement, channels and decision logic.
Review seat mounting and placementLocal sensing within a mattress
Mattresses are an established Baoshengda application direction. Review layers, force transfer through the cover and preload from the mattress weight, then test sustained loading and recovery. Shape alone does not establish suitability.
Review mattress layers and testingDrawing review / Define the scope
What can we review with your drawings?
Review installation, sensing goals and connections together. Dimensions, force range, accuracy, service life and materials must be defined in the project drawings and agreed tests.
Review customization and sampling- Sensing area
- Provide the contact-part shape, contact area and expected loading position to discuss the circular sensing area and film boundary.
- Tail and terminals
- Review long or short tails, exit direction and terminal fit against the available space, together with the assembly drawing.
- Mounting and fixing
- Define the bonding position, support material, cover and preload to review fixing, clearances and loading conditions.
- Readout and system scope
- Provide existing electronics, interfaces and acquisition goals. Agree the film, cable, electronics and software scope separately.
- Prototypes and quotation
- Send the drawing revision, planned quantity and validation goals before agreeing the prototype design, cost and arrangements.
Sample validation / Agree the test conditions
Define the test before comparing samples
The same shape does not establish the same test results. Record the contact structure and circuit conditions to assess whether a sample meets the current validation goal.
- Record contact-part shape, contact area, load position and rear support. Do not directly compare results from different contact conditions.
- Specify target load and units, loading method, hold duration and any preload already present after assembly.
- Record loading, holding, unloading and recovery in the intended readout circuit before discussing decision thresholds.
- For off-center loading or position changes, record each position separately. Long-term and environmental tests require separate agreement.
Request a quote / Include drawings and requirements
Start the sample review with your installation
Tell us the application, contact method, available space, connection and planned quantity. Include the drawing revision where available, and mark unresolved conditions for review.
Selection and quotation questions
Questions before the design review
Is a round film always better than a square film for local presses?
Shape alone cannot decide suitability. Review the contacting part, available space, rear support and tail direction, then compare candidate samples. A circular outline does not imply greater accuracy or establish range or response.
Can the long and short tails in the photographs be adapted to a drawing?
Submit the target outline, tail length, exit direction and terminal requirements together. The photos illustrate design directions; feasibility and delivery scope follow the project drawing review.
Can it directly measure weight or output a pressure value?
This requires assessment of the contact structure, readout circuit and calibration method. FSR input is not automatically a complete-product weight or pressure reading. For numerical output, specify units, target range, contact area and error requirements.
What should I provide for a first inquiry?
Provide the application, drawing or installation photo, contact method, detection goal, tail termination and prototype quantity. Mark unresolved parameters for review and define what this prototype round needs to establish.
