Product detail / Square sensing geometry
Square FSR Flexible Pressure Sensor
Review flat contact within the actual layer stack
A square sensing-face sample provides a reference for flat contact and bonded placement. Review the sensing area, edge clearance and tail direction together with the actual assembly.
Actual sample photos show shape and connections. The structure is reviewed for your project.
From structure to application
Understanding this sensing structure
A square force sensing resistor (FSR) can be assessed for flat contact and bonded placement. Baoshengda can review the sensing area, edge clearance, film geometry and side-exit tail from your drawing, then validate prototypes with the cover, support and assembly conditions. A square sensing face is not a pressure-mapping array. Independent readings at several positions need separately defined areas, channels and readout.
Application review / Start with actual contact
Which application requirements should we review?
Application requirements guide placement, assembly and validation. The examples below support a design review; suitability depends on your product structure.
Flat contact and bonded mounting
For a square contact part or installation recess, review the sensing face, outer film edge and fixing area together. Distinguish actual contact area from outline, and describe edge loading, force transfer through the cover and tail clearance.
Review contact and mounting conditionsSensing beneath a seat cover
Seating is an established Baoshengda application direction. A square sample can be reviewed as one layout option, with attention to force transfer through foam, cover and support. A photograph cannot establish occupancy-detection performance.
Review seat layers and mountingForce input inside mattress layers
Mattresses are an established Baoshengda application direction. If the assembly accommodates a square film, discuss its fixing position, layer weight and tail route, then validate sustained loading and recovery. Zoning, posture and care functions also require system design and validation.
Review mattress validation prioritiesDrawing review / Define the scope
What can we review with your drawings?
Review installation, sensing goals and connections together. Dimensions, force range, accuracy, service life and materials must be defined in the project drawings and agreed tests.
Review customization and sampling- Sensing face and boundary
- Provide the flat contact region, installation recess and edge clearances. Define sensing area and film outline separately.
- Bonding and layers
- Describe covers, support, fixing positions and assembly method. Adhesives and other materials are reviewed by project.
- Tail routing
- Review exit direction, routing space and terminals against openings and bend paths in the structure.
- Single or multiple points
- Define whole-area contact detection or independent readings at several positions. Agree areas, channels and system integration separately.
- Prototypes and quotation
- Review the drawing revision, quantity and test task. A photograph does not establish standard specifications, stock or lead time.
Sample validation / Agree the test conditions
Define the test before comparing samples
The same shape does not establish the same test results. Record the contact structure and circuit conditions to assess whether a sample meets the current validation goal.
- Define central, edge or multiple-position loading, recording the contacting face, cover and support materials.
- Specify target load and units, contact area, loading speed and hold duration. Separate local loading from whole-area loading.
- Include assembly weight, fixing method and initial preload. Record the readout before applying the test load.
- Check loading, holding, unloading and recovery in the actual circuit. Define separate acceptance criteria for the film and complete-product function.

Tell us the application, contact method, available space, connection and planned quantity. Include the drawing revision where available, and mark unresolved conditions for review.
Selection and quotation questions
Questions before the design review
Can a square sensing face directly show pressure at every position?
Its square appearance does not establish this capability. Pressure mapping or independent multipoint data requires defined sensing divisions, acquisition channels, electronics, calibration and software display. A single sample must not be treated as a pressure-mapping array.
Are sensing area and outline dimensions the same?
No. Mark the sensing area, outer film boundary, fixing and clearance positions and tail interface separately. Effective contact also depends on the cover and rear support.
Can the outline or tail direction fit our installation space?
Submit the installation recess, contact region, routing space and terminal requirements to discuss the outline and tail. Feasibility must be confirmed with process, assembly and prototype review.
Does the rear material in the photo establish a specification?
The photograph is a geometry and connection reference. It cannot establish adhesive type, material grade or operating environment. Specify the required adhesive, layers and fixing method in the project drawing or agreed documents.
